The switches only you can reach, and the direction each one never moves on its own.

Take over any chat: Untick Let AI handle this person, give a reason, and DOMS goes quiet for that person. It never takes the conversation back on its own. Handing them back is its own audited act: Return to DOMS on their page, or ticking the toggle again, records your reason and lets DOMS reply from their next message. Old drafts and follow ups never resume.
Off means off: The same door, for anyone: a client, a friend, family. It never turns itself back on. Not for a hot lead, not for anything.
Approval, any time: Flip back to reading every reply before it sends, whenever you like. Both directions, always yours, never gated by setup.
Quiet hours: When the good news alert waits for morning. Once text alerts are on, someone in crisis reaches you at any hour. Quiet hours are about your phone, not about whether DOMS replies.
Your label on a person: Prospect, past member, friend or family, fan, peer, spam, needs care, flirting. DOMS honours it next turn and cannot overrule it.
Your pick of Offer for a person: Outranks DOMS's own choice for every reply to that person.
Mark closed: Your confirmation of a close, permanent, and the only kind of close that counts as one you confirmed.
